Done. Done. and Done. :)

This is a photo of the little old house we bought last year (us and the bank - our partners in crime once more) for Neil's office. (So far this sounds a little like a fairy tale.. )

We had a work day back then in the yard, and I organized to have some interior walls built, and carpets and air-conditioning and insulation installed - but I haven't done much since. However, with tax season starting on the 1st. July I've had to get working on it all again...

We did have another family half-work-day there a couple of weeks ago. (BIG THANK YOU! to Tammy and Jessima who scraped the windows; Bethany who cleaned; Jonny and Ben who carpentered and hung doors; James and Oliver who strung wire along the fence as a trellis; and Abby who lay on the lounge feeling sick, but who minded Jenna anyway).

I finally made some headway yesterday on several of the big decisions I have been collecting quotes for and agonizing over. Deciding on, then contracting someone for the driveway and car-parking areas. (Done.) Designing, then contracting to have the office furniture made. (Done.) Deciding on and ordering new filing cabinets. (Done.) Deciding on the best way to build a new wheelchair ramp and organizing someone (thank you Jonny!) to do it. (Done.)

That felt good! :)

We have another full family work-day on the last Saturday of this month, when we hope to do all of the landscaping in one go. Then we'll be just about done!

(I still have a couple of days of painting to do inside, and I need to quickly get on and finalize the landscaping plan, purchase the plants, and order mulch, compost and stepping stones, etc. - but I think we are getting there! )

Yay!! :)
