Small and simple things.

This is our adorable grand-daughter, Jenna. (Recent photo courtesy of Jessima and Jonathon) We babysat Jenna overnight for the first time on Saturday night. She was an angel, of course. It was a lot of fun. Her eyes lit up when she saw Mummy and Daddy on Sunday though!

LIFE is busy.... , of course :) The twins are in (grade 12) exams; Neil and I are gearing up for tax season next month; Bethany has a hectic social life.... :)

Tammy flew down to Canberra last week, along with about 80 other YSA from around Australia, to represent the church there. They were told that the purpose of the trip was to: thank; inform; and learn. They met with the Speaker of the House, the Whip, the Leader of the National Party, and about 25 other federal MP's. They also enjoyed a meeting with Elder Jeffrey R. Holland, who was in Australia for a visit.

Abby has been sick recently, the poor little thing :( - but is about to be greatly cheered with the news that she has won the Money, Money competition :)! Her guess of $2,800 came closest to the actual amount of $2,721! I know! - it's a lot, but unfortunately still not enough for that visit-friends-in-America trip, Jill. But we are still saving :)

Abby - your prize is a choice between:
1. 'Small and Simple Things' - a book by Marjorie P. Hinckley
2. Two movie tickets
3. A bottle of Echinacea and a packet of Panadol. :)

I have been thinking lately about a quote by Sheri Dew that 'it is not possible to sin enough to be happy'. It's really true, isn't it? Although, I mentioned it to Bethany, and she said that she has sometimes been happy after sinning. Sigh.

I've mentioned everyone (from our immediate family) in this post except for James and Micky and Bec. Hi, James and Micky and Bec. :)

  1. Congratulations Abby! Your too good :) Competitions are always fun.

"Wickedness never was happiness" so I think Bethany needs to have a talk with her Bishop of what is good and bad. Gotta love Bethy!!!

  2. I'm a little bit sad that I didn't win the competition... but I never win these competitions, so I guess I knew it was coming... :D

Jenna was a lot of fun this weekend, wasn't see?! She's so funny. I'm really looking forward to when she starts talking - I can't wait to hear what she has to say :)

  3. so mum told me, 'i wrote about you on my blog' so i was like, 'ok cool i'll check it out'....should've known it would be about how bad i am :S lol.
BUT it was an honest answer! i wasn't talking long term, but sometimes people can be/are satisfied and temporarily happy after having committed a sin. and i'm talking about little sins, not massive ones. like bending the truth a little to get what they want - they are generally satisfied that they got what they wanted! i was also talking generally, not necessarily personally. BUt at least i was giving an honest answer!
and wow. there was that much money in the tin!? i'm gonna start a tin!! - and feel free for anyone to contribute :D
    love you mummy!! xoxox

  5. Wow, thanks Mama!!! :) I would LOVE the book, what an exciting prize!!! I would've preferred the prize I suggested (take me with you!) but as an alternative this one's awesome :) This is the first one of these I've ever won, yay!! :)

Jonny and Jess - Thanks for the support. Competitions are even more fun if you win, I've just discovered!

Tammy - Sorry to have beaten you. Jenna is beyond adorable, I bet when she starts talking she'll sound like you lol.

Bethany - Mum's blog wasn't about how bad you are - there were only 18 words about you and waaay more than that altogether! :) Plus it was funny! You just made it worse by justifying it in your entry, I love the way you like digging, and I love the way your whole justification was in third person, like it didn't apply to you. I'll give you 10 cents!!!

Bec - Hi! Mum makes me smile too :) So does your blog, your little family looks so fun! :)

    Nighty night xoxoxox
