'When adding eggs, break the shells first.'

I read a book this morning that I really enjoyed.

I found it after it was recommended by Brecken on the 'goodreads' web site.

I have posted a review on the 'goodreads' site - but it's a plot-spoiler, so don't go and read it until you have read the book :) (Which book I own, if you would like to borrow it :) You could read Brecken's review there though.

I love the 'goodreads' site. Happy sigh. I see a happy future for us both :) - a happy future for us all in fact.

The book is: 'The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society', by Mary Ann Shaffer. I like the book cover too.

  2. Thanks for posting this Sandy, I love to read and this site will be very useful in choosing my next book! (when I have some time)

I hope you're well! I miss seeing you at church, but our whole family has been doing the rounds of winter and cold flus. At the moment its my turn :( But I'm taking it easy. Hope to see you soon!

  3. Sounds interesting! - I'm grateful for the cooking tip too, I've been having such trouble getting my scrambled eggs to be... less... crunchy. I would love to borrow the book, I'll get it off you today? (I know I said I don't have any time but I'll just find a little bit..;) ) xoxox

  4. I LOVED that book. I reviewed it on my blog a couple of weeks ago. And YOU, my dear, are a Goodreads FANATIC! I've never seen so many books as you chew through on those updates! You must be a fast reader.

And -- miracle here -- when you changed your blog background, suddenly all your posts became visible for me. Yes. I can read you now!
