Another one within minutes

You should read Chickybabe's entry just before this one if you haven't yet. I an instructed to fill you in on the bits she was too tired to write about, but I read Chickybabe's entry and either she got it all or I slept through some of it.

We have been having a great time in New York. We arrived at Justin and Brecken's place on Saturday arvo and spent all day Sunday with them and the all day today intil a little after 3pm. We ......babysat Reuben on Saturday night for a couple of hours while Brecken went to a concert with Simeon (Justin was at a shoot); we talked for a while which was very relaxing and nice; I went to bed around 11pm (it was 9pm in Salt Lake so I stole a couple of hours) and I never woke up until 10am (how cool is that?? - 11 hours sleep); we got ready fast and caught the subway to church; church was in the same building as the temple so that was neat and interesting; we had a really nice fast and testimony meeting; Sunday School and Priesthood were also good; Not sure about relief Society (talk, talk, talk I assume); after church we went for a walk in Central Park, full of interesting things to see; then we caught the subway to a members apartment where ward choir practice was held; a pot luck dinner preceded the practice; it was a pleasant night and very enjoyable to witness an aspect of lifr in NYC; after practice was over we caught a bus to 122nd & Broadway and walked home; we settled down, had a drink and then we talked about all sorts of things until about 1.30am; I woke up at 9.30am (how cool is that??); we just had a nice time chating until we left around 3.30pm in a cab to come down to our hotel; we are on the second floor which is not good (too noisy) but they said they will change us tomorrow to a higher floor.

So our hosts over the last couple of days (justin and Brecken) have been wonderful. How holiday has been great and very busy with us always being on the go, but it has been a little pit stop these last two days. Very relaxed and nice amd Justin and Brecken were absolutely perfect. They made us comfortable, couldn't do enough for us, fed us, were great company, and they love our Tammy. So , I ask you, What more could you ask for. So a GIANT THANKYOU to Justin and Brecken.

So now it is nearly 11.30pm and I must away as I cannot have another late wake up as we have too much to do and see.

Hope you are all well back home and in Sydney. We love you and miss. Be safe.

Love Dad.

PS it seems I forgot to say someting funny.

Too bad.

  1. Just when we see one post, we get excited and see two!!! We are spoiled with both versions :) I guess this now means we may be expecting a post from both Mum and Dad each time we come and check your blog??? Only joking, but it is nice to see 2!!

I think all was pretty much said on the next post, but we are grateful you Dad have taken the time to write to us. Think of your posts as a great journal!!! You will have a wonderful documentation of your trip when you get home and it won't add any extra weight to your suit case!

Keep having fun, taking pictures and eating lots of yummy food.

Can't wait to read your next post, same battime, same batchannel ;)

    Much Love,
Jessima, Abby, Jenna, Maggie, Jackson and James and Jonny down on the tennis court :)
