Maths professors.

I'm sitting in a tiny room that is devoted to internet use, here in our hotel in NYC, catching up on emails, etc. Sitting beside me is a man who was muttering under his breath and trying to work out on paper what 40 times 3,000 was? He looked at me and so I answered, "120,000". He still looked worried.
"Is that a mathematical equation or something?" he said. "I need to know how much 40 times by $3,000 would be?"
I directed him to Neil, a couple of computers away, (in case he hadn't trusted me). Neil looked up and said, "$120,000".
"Are you guys both Maths professors or something?" he asked, incredulously.
I smiled and said, "no".
"Well, you sure are smart!" he said.

Who knew? :)

  1. Ugh that i svery bad fro American education but of course we always knew ours was better but I do wonder at times if anyone else can do those simple calculations in their heads anymore. NYC sounds fantastic in the wintertime especially at christmas. I would love to walk through thwe parks and listen to the street performers and to get lost in the Strand

  2. Haha I love that! Sounds just like the kind of story brecken is always writting on her blog- must be a new York thing!

Betts and I are lying in bed in our hotel room, just about to get up. We loved the show but were both very tired. I have to interview a big fashion mogul today. Should be interesting, but what one earth should I wear?

  3. Hey New Yorkers!!

Update: Twins are Alive! We got their phone number off of Jason and Jonny gave them a call this morning. They seem to be having lots of fun, going to a basketball game and possibly going snowboarding tomorrow. Apparently they have had trouble getting onto the blog.

Anyway love hearing what you are up to! Your half way on your holiday, so keep enjoying each day and we will see you soon.

    Much Love,
    Jonny, Jessima and Jenna
