1. One complete day of our holidays unless I have nothing else to do in which case I will write more then one day to catch up to our current day.
2. A picture that may or may not have been taken on that day. And depending on my mood, an explanation
3. A call out to someone. You may be picked at random but if you would really like a call out then you must send me a huge email to me. Emails that are nicer to me will be look upon with more favour.
4. A funny quote that has been said while we are in America. (Trust me, there's a lot)
Sunday the sixth of December. It was a fast Sunday. It also seemed pretty short. We woke up in the morning around 9 - 10 and got ready to go to Jason's ward. We then left to go to church. It was pretty much the same as our ward. It was a fast and testimony meeting which was awesome but I was surprised at how many small primary kids got up. They made up at least 40% of the testimonies which meant that most of the parents got up as well to help their child. It was really nice.
After sacrament meeting, Jason introduced us to a LOT of people, all of which I have forgotten their names. I feel slightly bad for this.....itty bitty little bit.....but it's still there. (MOVIE?!)
We had to miss Sunday school and priesthood because we needed to start heading down to Salt Lake City for the Jazz game (for all of those who are unlearned in the area of sports, the 'Utah Jazz' is an NBA team. NBA stands for the National Basketball Association. So what you have now learned is that Utah - a state of America, has a basketball team - called the 'Utah Jazz', that plays against other states in the NBA - the National Basketball Association). The rest of the day was basically driving to Salt Lake City. Productive but Uneventful. The reason we drove down earlier then we had to was to avoid a snowstorm. (YAY - SNOW!!!!) But that is the end of that day really.
This seems like a great time to add that I made up the system for a selfish reason. I don't have much time to write right now, and so by making up the system I could write only about Sunday and feel as though I've written enough....I love you guys......oh don't be like that......sorry......SMILE!!!
Today's picture......
Today's Call out is to my parents in New York. I hope you having an awesome time because we certainly are thanks to you :D
The funny quotes that I tell you are coming from my phone. While we have been away, my phone has become the quote book for us. (for those outside our family, the 'Quote book' was started by Abby a few years ago and it contains all the funny/dumb/witty things we have said.) The quote for today unfortunately can not happen. This is because I only came up with the idea a few hours ago and because of that, I have been unable to attain consent from the people involved and it seems a bit mean and illegal to post these types of things without their permission.
I hope you are all having a Wonderful time over their.
Ciao for now!
Oliver
Woohoo, first comment again!! That had to have been one of the most uneventful blog entries! I think you're rules are silly, and that you should write all about everything that has happened. That will avoid days like today were we get to hear that you went to church (duh!!) and that you drove to SLC. That was all things that we could assume, seeings how we always go to church on sunday, and you couldn't watch the game without going to SLC.
ReplyDeleteI appreciate that you at least made the effort to tell us you're alive, however, i'm not going to pretend that it was ok, because that will encourage you to do more half hearted blogs. I'm sorry that you set yourself such a high standard with your first few blog entries, but that's your bad. Pick up your game dude!
Dear Jonny,
ReplyDeleteTammy, Abby, James and Bethany think you sound mean.
Dear Oli,
I loved your blog :) I even like the format, because it's 'doable' - if you don't blog for a few days and you feel like you have to catch up, it can be too overwhelming, so doing one day at a time is smart. I like the picture. I like the call out. I don't suggest you call out to Jonathon. I can't wait for the quotes to start!
I'm glad you wrote about the fast and testimony meeting, it sounds fun :) I think I must've been to the same ward! Do you think you'll get to a session at the Idaho Falls temple?
And yay I went down to a Jazz game too, I love that you're getting to do all this stuff!!! :)
I can't wait to hear about how you went snowboarding, I LOVED it, and spent my whole day thinking "I wish I could bring the twins to do this, they'd love it and be so good at it!!" :)
Thanks for posting, Mum and Dad I can't wait to hear from you again and I love you! Ben I know you're having a great time cause of Oli's posts, I love you too!!
The low temperatures are impressive, you must be freeezing!!
Miss you, great to hear from you, you're funny Liver :) Love you!!!

PS: Mum: Tammy, Beth, James and I think you look so cute in the photo on Brecken's blog, even if you do look Russian! Dad: You look more Polish. We had no idea you'd gone to Europe instead of the states. xo
ReplyDeletePPS: But you both look soooo happy, it's such a cute photo!!! :) We love it :) And nice work Brecken with the making them look like a 'random' European couple! You look beautiful too :) xo
ReplyDeleteHa ha!
ReplyDeleteThe blog entry: good to hear from you at last Oliver :) Do you know that both Dad and I sent emails to the Hamptons asking them to poke you into writing on the blog everyday? I wrote one first, while Dad was a couple of computers away, then after I had sent mine, I asked him who he was writing to, and when he told me, I just smiled and said "good idea", thinking that it wouldn't hurt for you to get a double dose :)
I'm good like that :)
Oh! - And I LOVE the call out! :)
Jonny, I feel too fondly sentimental about everyone at home to think that you were being even slightly mean! To the contrary - I really liked your post :) And feel it's not a bad idea to encourage more and more and better and better from anyone who would like to write :)
Abby, and everyone else at home - we love you and miss you all!

Hey Oli! Great post :)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you left before the storm hit - I've been hearing about those storms on the news - apparently they're huge and dumping HEAPS of snow! yay!
Can't wait for the next post... (that was a not so subtle hint...)
lol!
xo tammy
Thanks for the post Oli!!! But I must defend Jonny. Whilst we are grateful for your post (and keep them coming), we would have loved to hear about your snowboarding, the basketball game etc. Sunday could've been a paragraph.
ReplyDeleteBut anyway, keep having fun!!! Just over a week to go, so make sure you record some 'fun' memories too!
Love Jessima
Great to hear from you again...and so soon after the last installment! Are you planning on doing a temple session while you are in Idaho? Last year Mum and I went to the newest temple open house thing, and we got to walk around inside for ages...and the youth had to put on (and afterwards take off) these little paper bootie things for us :) Believe it or not, but Mum's been to more temples than I have :( I've got to sort myself out I think!
ReplyDeleteMan, that sounds soooo cold! Hope you packed your beanies :)
Have fun for us!
