The story starts with a girl and a boy and ends with the announcement: "We're Engaged!"
In case you were wondering, the girl happens to be myself, and the boy goes by the name of Robbie Wolff :) Due to certain events, Robbie and I were not going to be able to be together for Easter. I would be with my family in Brisbane, while Robbie would spend his Navy leave with his family in Melbourne.
Or so I thought.
This morning mum and dad announced that they were taking myself and the twins for a 'surprise' tonight and we had to be dressed nicely and ready to leave by 7:15pm. At that time, we all got in the car and headed towards the temple. Outside the temple, Dad stopped the car and told us to get out so he could park. As I opened the door I looked up and saw a young man walking towards the car. After a moment, I realised it was my Robbie Bobbie!
Robbie had flown up to Brisbane to surprise me (AWESOME surprise :) ) and one of his friends had picked him up and dropped him at the Kangaroo Point lookout. Which is where mum and dad dropped me off to meet him. After mum and dad and the twins had driven off, Robbie presented me with a MASSIVE Easter egg for my Easter present and then we went to sit down on the Kangaroo Point cliffs. On one of our earlier dates, I had prepared a picnic and taken Robbie to those cliffs to eat it. Robbie had played a song on his phone that night, and tonight he pulled out his phone to play the same song while we sat there (it was a pretty church song). It had been a lovely date when we first went there so Robbie thought it would be nice to go there again. Plus, it's got a gorgeous view and it's just across the road from the temple - how appropriate :P
After a couple of minutes we decided to dig into the egg. I shot-gunned the privilage of cracking it opened and proceeded to bash it against the ground. Robbie looked a little concerned at my somewhat aggressive behaviour (or that's the reason I thought anyway). We started eating and after a moment, Robbie looked into the egg and said "What's that?". I looked next and saw something white at the bottom. And I pulled out....a small white box! Robbie opened the box and presented to me a pretty, pretty ring and asked if I would marry him. After obtaining a promise from him to kill spiders for me for the rest of my life, I happily accepted.
So now.....we're engaged!
How exciting. We're very happy :)
The End xo
